It was less than 24 hours, when voters in South Carolina would head to the polls.
Before they did, Barack wanted to show his supporters a bit about what kind of campaign they were running.
When Michelle and Barack talked about his running for president, one of the core goals they both had for this campaign was to
leave the political process better off than they found it.
In South Carolina, a state with a history of some pretty divisive politics, ordinary people challenged conventional thinking about the process and built a statewide organization based on local community organizing and neighbor-to-neighbor contacts.
Barack supporters -- men and women of all ages, races, religions, and backgrounds -- came together around the idea that they were one people, invested in each other and in our common future.
This reminded me of the early church (Acts 4).For a cause we beleive has saved this world
We've put together this Still Small Voice newsletter in the hope it will play a part in giving you a sense of what God has built here on earth -- :
The early church was called from communities across Isreal,
people who had never been share in the LORDs work before -- or who now had a broken and contrite spirit -- built something special.
No matter what our circumstance today, our work here and now
will have a lasting impact on this world for a brief time till Christ returns and into the world to come for ever.
There will be a lot happening, and the intensity will be ratcheted up.
But the spirit of unity we have here is even more important than ever to the Lord Remember "by this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you love one another"
-- It will be apparent in thousands of communities across the world.
I believe more strongly than ever that this work of faith is more than just WORDS. Together, we will be transformed at the sound of the trumpet.
You'll be more than glad for being part of this
