God does not accept the righteousness of humans. However, many Christians today bring their own righteousness to God. (Isaiah 64:6)

They boast of how much relief work they have done in the name of the Lord, how they evangelized their cities and they have given many things to the homeless while caring for the sick. 

However God rather wants people to accept the righteousness of Jesus who became the physician and who cured all sin-sick people by the gospel of the water and the Spirit. John 3:5

God admonishes us to believe in His righteousness that saved us from all our sins and His judgment. (Matthew 3:13-15)

Jesus took all our sins away once and for all by being baptized by John the Baptist and received the judgment for all our sins by being crucified on the Cross and brought us who were dead back to life again. (1John 5:6-8)

The Lord wants us to come to Him with such faith and to be thankful to Him for taking all our sins upon Himself though His baptism and paying for them with His blood on the cross.
