Follow The Word

In the business world, to be made rich and successful, one is told that they must "Follow the money".

In the spiritual world, to be made sinless and therefore successful to be able to enter Heaven, one must follow the Word. (Be born again of water and the Spirit. John 3:5)

Let's follow the Word here to understand God's plan of salvation for us human beings.

Hebrews 11:1, 4

1 Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for,

the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.

(Through the Scriptures we must come to REALIZE precisely how us born sinners can be reconciled to God. And only if it is in strict accordance to the Scriptures can we have CONFIDENCE in our salvation being true). (Psalm 51:5, Mark 7:20-23, Romans 6:23)

4 By faith Abel offered to God

a more excellent sacrifice than

Cain, through which He obtained

witness that he was righteous, God

testifying of his gifts; and through

it he being dead still speaks.

(Here, the correct faith we need to be saved and be known as righteous by God, must be the same as Abel's. So we can see straight away that it involved offering an excellent sacrifice to God)

Genesis 4:3-5

4 Abel also brought of the firstborn

of his flock and of their fat.

And the Lord respected Abel and

his offering.

(Here we see the offering has to be the firstborn and it's fat)

Numbers 18:17

But the firstborn of a cow,

the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem;

they are holy. You shall

sprinkle their blood on the altar,

and burn their fat as an offering

made by fire for a sweet smelling aroma to

the Lord.

(Here we see that the offering also involves blood and the altar)

Leviticus 3:2, 5

2 And He shall lay his hand on

the head of his offering, and kill it

at the door of the tabernacle of

meeting; and Aaron's sons, the

priests, shall sprinkle the blood

all around on the altar.

(Now we see that laying on of hands has to take place before anything else)

Leviticus 16:21

Aaron shall lay both his

hands on the head of the live goat,

confess over it all the iniquities

of the children of Israel, and all

their transgressions, concerning

all their sins, putting them on the

head of the goat, and shall send it

away into the wilderness by the

hand of a suitable man.

(Here we see Aaron is the one who lays his hands on the goat. He is therefore the representative of all the people. He confesses all the sins of the people and passes the sins onto the animal through the laying on of hands method)

Isaiah 53:6

All we like sheep have gone

astray;

We have turned, every one, to

his own way;

And the Lord has laid on Him (caused to land on Him)

the iniquity of us all.

(Here we now need to know how God has caused all our sins to be laid onto Jesus)

Hebrews 9:28

So Christ was offered once to

bear the sins of many. To those

who eagerly wait for Him He will

appear a second time, apart from

sin, for salvation.

(Here we can see that the passing on of our sins onto Jesus Christ took place only once).

Isaiah 53:10-12

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to

bruise Him;

He has put Him to grief.

When You make His soul

an offering for sin,

He shall see His seed, He shall

prolong His days,

And the pleasure of the Lord

shall prosper in His hand.

(Here we see that God was pleased to make His Son an offering for our sins. But exactly how did this manifest?)

John 1:29

The next day John saw Jesus

coming toward him, and said,

'Behold! The Lamb of God who

takes away the sin of the world!'

(Oh!! So the day after John the Baptist had baptized Jesus, he referred to Him as "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" Therefore John the Baptist was the representative of mankind and high priest like Aaron and he was the one who laid his hands on the head of Jesus confessing all our sins and thereby passed all our sins onto Jesus submerging Him in the Jordan River! Now this is the REALIZATION and the CONFIDENCE we must believe in to have the correct faith and to be known and called righteous by God! )

1Peter 2:24

Who Himself bore our sins in

His own body on the tree, that we,

having died to sins, might live for

righteousness - by whose stripes

you were healed.

(Hallelujah!! When we believe that Jesus was the Lamb of God who received all our sins onto His own body when John the Baptist transferred them by the laying on of hands baptism he performed on Jesus in the Jordan River, and which righteous act led directly to Jesus' judgement and crucifixion in our place, and His resurrection from the dead; this is the Truth that heals us wholly from the disease of sin we were all born with, and sets us free! This is the more excellent offering of faith that God requires of us and accepts and approves! So it is by having faith in the water of Jesus' baptism, His blood shed on the Cross, and His Spirit, resurrection from the dead, that gives us total confidence in our salvation being true and in accordance to the Word of God! Hallelujah! Praise God! He has given us bold faith to take the kingdom of heaven by our forceful, confident faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit! )
