Unbelievers insist that man is born good originally and that nobody is born evil. But King David confessed to God, “Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight—That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me” (Psalms 51:4-5).
This passage means, “I cannot but commit sin because I am originally a seed of sin. So, if You, God, take away my sins, I can be redeemed and become righteous. But if You do not take them away, then I have to go to hell. If you say that I have sin, then I surely have sin. But If you say that you have blotted out all my sins, then I surely have no sin. Everything depends on You, God, and Your judgment.”
In the sight of God, all human beings cannot help but be sinners because they inherited sin from their parents. We are born sinners regardless of our behavior. The only way to escape from sin and Gods judgement is to believe in the salvation that Jesus fulfilled by taking away all our sins when He was baptized by John the Baptist and paying for our sins with His blood on the cross. (1John 5:6-8)
