King Solomom lived the most opulent and extravagent life. He had countless queens and concubines, and his palace and wealth were magnificent.
However, nothing on this earth could fill his empty heart. That is why he lamented in Ecclesiastes, "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. All is vanity and grasping for the wind."
God describes such a heart as, "broken cisterns that can hold no water" (Jeremiah 2:13).
It doesn't matter if you have everything in this world, you will not find true satisfaction. That is why God told us that we must be born again and receive Jesus Christ into our heart. Until then, we cannot fill the emptiness in our heart.
God has therefore, driven away our sins that had made our hearts formless and void, and that had darkness on the face of the deep, and in their place He has given us the gift of Truth to fulfil our hearts abundantly.
The faith in the baptism of Jesus and His blood on the Cross saves us from all the sins of the world. We can be born again with this faith. Since the Bible tells us that Jesus washed away the sins of all the sinners in the world, why shouldn’t we believe and be born again? It is the only way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
