The genuine gospel of the remission of sins for all human beings is the gospel of the water and the Spirit. The shadow of this gospel is manifested in the sacrifical system of the Old Testament. (Hebrews10, Leviticus 1, 16:21)
The sacrificial system of the Tabernacle entailed three absolutely indispensable elements: An unblemished animal, the laying on of hands for the transference of the Israelites sins, and the shedding of the blood of the sacrificial animal for atonement. (Leviticus 1, 16:21)
Whenever the Israelites sinned, they had to offer a sacrifice exactly according to the pattern shown in the tabernacle. If any element was omitted, then the offering would be counted as an unlawful sacrifice before God.
Unless you comprehend these requirements of the sacrificial system, you cannot realize God’s love that’s revealed in the gospel of the water and the Spirit which makes all sinners God’s own people. It is manifested in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and its evidence is recorded in the Old Testament’s laying on of hands and the shedding of the blood of the sacrifice.
In the age of the New Testament, Jesus Christ became our unblemished sacrifice. He Himself came to save us all, as we were all born in sin and as as result, we were all destined for hell. (Psalm 51:5, Romans 6:23)
He has fulfilled our salvation through the baptism He received from John the Baptist where He received our sins onto His own body and the blood He shed on the Cross to attone our sins. He has granted the perfect remission of sins and the gift of His Spirit to all of us who believe in this true gospel (Acts 2:38).
