THE GATE OF THE TABERNACLE AND ITS COLOURS. ( Not one colour, but 3 colours)

We shall read it in (Exodus 26:36-37)

"For the entrance of the Tent make a curtain of fine linen woven with BLUE, PURPLE, and RED wool and decorated with embroidery. For this curtain make five posts of acacia wood covered with gold and fitted with gold hooks; make five bronze bases for these posts."

Looking at the passage, we shall see it is  written clearly that THREE ( 3 ) colors were made mentioned of BLUE, PURPLE and RED.

Why and what is their significance?

In the building of the Holy Tabernacle, God has stipulated that  the material for the  gate of the  Tabernacle  should be made with  this three colors and that is the same colors that you will see before going in to Holy place, also the same colors separated the Holy place and Most Holy place. All this actually portraits Jesus Christ to come in the new testament.

THE BLUE COLOR AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

Usually in geography and world Atlas the  blue color is known to represent water.

The BLUE color of the gate represents the WATER of Jesus Christ baptism. In the  book of Matthew 3:1- to the end we will see that the baptism of Jesus Christ is different from others because sinners was baptized upon their repentance  but JESUS Christ clearly needing  no repentance  because he was without sin just like the sacrificial animals that has no defect, was then baptized by John the Baptist who TRANSFERRED all the sins of  humanity on him by the laying on of hands.  And so John testified saying; Behold, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world " John 1:29.

The blue color indeed represents the water of Jesus baptism.

And thus the apostle  John testifies in 1 John 5:6

"Jesus Christ is the one who came with the water of his baptism and the blood of his death. He came not only with the water, but with both the water and the blood. And the Spirit himself testifies that this is true, because the Spirit is truth."

THE PURPLE COLOUR AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

The purple color signifies His kingship and Godhead.

Actually, the purple  color was a noble color for the kings and noble people during those days.

Ezekiel chapter 23:6

"They were soldiers in uniforms of purple, noblemen and high-ranking officers; all of them were handsome young cavalry officers."

Jesus Christ entered as a King into Jerusalem as it was prophesized of him in Zechariah chapter 9:9-10

"Rejoice, rejoice, people of Zion!

Shout for joy, you people of Jerusalem!

Look, your king is coming to you!

He comes triumphant and victorious,

but humble and riding on a donkey

on a colt, the foal of a donkey."

1John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Indeed Jesus Christ is God, our Saviour and our King.

THE RED COLOUR AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

The red color signifies BLOOD.

It speaks of the truth that after Jesus  has taken upon himself the sin of world through His BAPTISM, he has to pay the price because the wages of sin is DEATH.

Thus  with the sins of the world upon Him, He went on the cross to pay the price by shedding his (blood) till death.

That's why it is written clearly in 1John 5:6

" Jesus Christ is the one who came with the water of his baptism and the ( blood ) of his death. He came not only with the water, but with both the water and the blood. And the Spirit himself testifies that this is true, because the Spirit is truth."

The blood of Jesus was shed because the sins of the world was laid upon Him during His BAPTISM.

Just as one MUST enter through the door with THREE COLOURS to get inside the Holy tabernacle,   if one doesn't have these THREE witnesses revealed in  the Holy tabernacle in one's heart, i.e, the WATER, BLOOD and SPIRIT, then one can NEVER have  access into  the heavenly tabernacle, i.e the  kingdom of God.

So Jesus said again, “Most assuredly I say to you, I am the DOOR of the sheep."  ( John 10:7) Jesus is the door of heaven.

And so the DOOR through which we must enter to reach the Holy heaven is the door with THREE COLOURS: BLUE, RED, PURPLE, meaning the water, blood and Spirit of Jesus.

Any other door not having these 3 COMPLETE colours is a FALSE DOOR that leads to hell.
