Why did God hate Esau while He loved Jacob?
Romans 9:11, “The purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls." Whom did God call? He called people like Jacob. He calls those who are inferior, cowardly, and contemptible, those who, though they believe in God, have nothing of their own to boast. It is these whom God calls and saves. God loved Jacob but hated Esau because people like Esau are too strong for their own good, as they stand against God instead of relying on Him.
Our sins are not covered by our own good deeds, but only when we believe that the baptism Jesus received from John and His blood on the Cross are the price paid for our sins. It is this faith that can cover our sins. Because of our sins, Jesus came to this earth, was baptized by John the Baptist, and died on the Cross. By believing in this Truth with our hearts, we can all cover our sins.
