People today believe only in the words of deceivers without reading Matthew 11:1-10. If people hear the wrong prejudices about John the Baptist and ignore him, the outcome will be very disappointing. If you believe in the wrong prejudices about John the Baptist, your soul will miss out on believing in the true truth. Those who disregard John the Baptist fail to understand that his ministry was meant to assist Jesus’ ministry. They become spiritually blind, unable to recognize that Jesus took away the sins of mankind through the baptism He received from John. Ultimately, they cannot encounter the true gospel Word that Jesus has blotted out the sins of the world through His baptism. They end up believing that Jesus saved them only by being crucified. Today, those who try to receive the remission of their sins only through faith in the cross, without knowing that Jesus washed away the sins of the world by being baptized by John, ultimately become foolish.
