Who in this world can claim to have genuine peace, true satisfaction and real joy? 

Such people are those who accept that they were born in sin, and despite their best efforts and deepest desire, they have failed to obey God and keep His Laws. Such people do not fight against God with their self-righteousness will-power to not commit sin and instead they humble themselves and seek His mercy. 

(Matthew 9:12-13)

The mercy of God's salvation is given to those who first confess that they are inherent sinners who are destined for hell according to God's law that says the wages of sin is death. They then place their faith in the Jesus' baptism that He received from John the Baptist where all our sins where transferred onto His own body resulting in His death on the cross and His precious blood that was shed to pay the wages for our sins that He took on at His baptism.
