Do you think that your life is yours to live, and that you have much to offer to the Church? This is never the case. Far from just giving, there is much to be gained from the Church both for your body and spirit. It’s not just you serving the Lord, but it’s actually the Lord who is serving you. Now that we have received the remission of our sins, there is much that needs to be changed, including the way we think about our worship and service. Above all, I admonish you all to live by believing in the Word of God.

God’s Church is so indispensable. Whoever has received the remission of sins must lead his life of faith inside the Church without fail. This is not an option for you. Nor is it something that I am saying just to draw more members to the Church. Rather, it is an absolutely indispensable requirement that you must meet for your own good: If you want to sustain your spiritual welfare, then you must abide in God’s Church.

Let us therefore trust in the living God dwelling in our hearts, believe in the truth that He is our own God, renew our strength from Him, and live faithfully for the rest of our lives.
